Schedule

A general schedule for the Student Orientation program and a general schedule for the Family Orientation program are displayed below. As there may be slight changes in times and locations as the schedule is confirmed, we recommend you check back occasionally for updates. After making a reservation, students will receive a confirmation email sent to their WWU email address as well as a packet of confirmation materials sent via postal mail to the student’s permanent address. These materials will contain the most up-to-date instructions and details regarding check-in and parking.

Schedule Highlights

  • Check-in will be from 7:15am – 9:15am in Red Square, with the Welcome Session beginning at 9:30am. Please note some of our sessions will have several hundred participants to check-in. Please allow ample time to park, check-in, and receive your program materials and detailed schedule.
  • Please carry all of the orientation materials with you throughout the program. Do not leave them in a vehicle, with your family members, or in your residence hall or hotel room.

    • High Credit Sessions Only: Management and Information Systems (MIS) 220 Equivalency Exam
    • MIS 220 is a required class for all students entering the College of Business. If you are a considering a major in the College of Business, it is highly recommended you take the MIS 220 Equivalency Exam. The MIS 220 Exam is offered in the morning on each of the two High Credit Summerstart sessions. You will need to bring photo ID and there is no fee for this exam. *IMPORTANT! In order to register successfully for classes, students MUST attend both days of Summerstart including their Advising Session on Day 1 and their Registration Session on Day 2. Students will not be allowed to register for classes if their measles vaccinations/immunity documentation has not been received prior to their registration appointment.
