In addition to working at NSSFO, Ronna is also a Certified Mindfulness Teacher and teaches meditation through the WWU Faculty & Staff Wellness Program as well as in the Bellingham community. As an outdoor enthusiast, Ronna loves Western’s proximity to the arboretum with its rich bird and wildlife habitat. Originally from the big city of Oysterville, WA, Ronna has lived in Bellingham for over 20 years and loves it!
Jeannine is originally from the suburbs north of Detroit. She always says, "I’ve got Motown in my blood." She loves the music from that time and place. However, she knew instinctually when she was about 5 years old that she needed to get out of Southeast Michigan. Which she did when she was 19. Since then she has lived in many different places all over the US and in Japan. In her younger days, she lived on a homestead in Alaska for a short time, mastered the Eskimo roll in a kayak and snorkeled on a coral reef in Guam. Her time in Bellingham and at WWU is the longest she has stayed/worked in one place since she started roaming at 19. "Hmmm, might be time for a change..." she thinks.
Bailey is majoring in Human Services and minoring in Leadership Studies because she is passionate about helping people! In her spare time, she loves to listen to music or relax with friends by the bay. She is originally from Eastern Washington. She practices mindfulness and is an active member of WWU’s Happy Club, and is an intern at the Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Chancellor is currently double majoring in Design and Visual Journalism with a minor in Art History. He spent five years in Japan living on a military base where he traveled to multiple countries in Southeast Asia. He was a part of his high school's yearbook, newspaper and drama department. He loves to spend his time procrastinating homework and raising two rats, named Ruby and Rebel.
Lorraine is pursuing a double degree in Computer Science and Chinese. She is a member of WWU's Association for Women in Computing where she is passionate about promoting diversity in STEM. She also volunteers at the Creators and Innovators Club for girls at Kulshan Middle School. When she is away from the computer, and other technology gadgets, she enjoys cooking, reading and crocheting.
